Just for kicks, I looked at the coupons they sent. One out of thirteen coupons may be relevant to me! Examples of the coupons include wood flooring, home security system, etc. This is not relevant to anyone who rents an apartment.
There has to be a business solution for this – personalized coupons delivered electronically. So if you want coupons, why not have a simple way to indicate what you may be interested in and receive coupons that are 100% relevant to you. Looks like a few websites are trying to tackle this: CouponCabin.com and MyCoupons.com
If there was a way to ‘beam’ my coupon from my iPhone to the retailer…now even I might actually use coupons.
First Post!
“The pen is mightier than the sword..”
Welcome to my first blog post! I could no longer resist the urge. Yes, I know I’m late to the game…but still earlier than most. More importantly, I think this will be fun.
This blog is about my transition (escape?) from cubicle culture into a startup. After 10 years working for several large firms, I’ve decided to start a new adventure. Honestly, I’m not sure what type of adventure I’m embarking on, but the journey will be exciting…and hopefully others can learn from my mistakes and experiences.
I will also write about topics that I’m passionate about: Entrepreneurship, Technology, the Environment/Sustainability and general Business. While I’ll try to stay away from politics – I make no promises!
I’m proud to join the ranks of other entrepreneurs, freelancers, Do-it-Yourself’ers and others who are working feverishly to change some small part of the world. I’m not sure where this journey will take me…but for now, CompanyTBD feels just right.
